Modern Bio ("we", "us", "our") provides a wellness app that helps you log meals, hydration, fasting windows, and daily activity. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you provide
- Account information — your email address and password (stored securely as a hashed credential by our authentication provider).
- Profile information — optional details such as name, sex, height, weight, age, and personal goals (hydration, protein, fasting, activity) that you enter to personalize the app.
- Wellness logs — meals you log, hydration entries, fasting sessions, activity entries, and any photos you choose to attach to a meal.
- Support communications — if you email us, we receive your message and reply address.
Information collected automatically
- Device and diagnostics — basic technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and crash reports, used to keep the app running reliably.
How we use your information
- To provide and personalize the app's core features (meal logging, goals, fasting, reminders).
- To process meal photos through automated food-recognition services so we can suggest nutritional estimates. Photos are sent securely to our processing provider for the duration of the request and are not used to train third-party models.
- To sync your data securely across your devices.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To diagnose problems and improve the app.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app:
- Supabase — secure storage and authentication for your account and wellness logs.
- Open Food Facts — public food database used to look up scanned barcodes (only the barcode value is sent).
- AI vision provider — used to estimate meal contents from photos you choose to share.
- App Store and crash-reporting services — used for app distribution and basic diagnostics.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data retention
We keep your account and wellness logs for as long as your account is active. You can delete entries at any time inside the app. To delete your entire account and all associated data, email info@modernbiologix.com from the address on your account. We process deletion requests within 7 days.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections (TLS) and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information.
Children's privacy
Modern Bio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Your choices
- Access, edit, or delete your logs from inside the app.
- Disable notifications from your device's system settings.
- Request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing us.
International users
Modern Bio is operated from the United States. If you use the app from another region, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
